Neil Atkinson, Founder

The Whole Human Coaching model and Whole Team Coaching were developed by Neil Atkinson - a highly experienced business and development professional and Executive Coach.

Today, Neil and his associates work with clients across the UK and internationally to help leaders and teams reach their full potential.

Neil developed his unique approach to coaching after more than 30 years' experience of working in business at a senior level. He also has many years’ coaching experience and training to Advanced/PCC level in Executive and Team Coaching.

Neil brings over 30 years of experience in communications and marketing, having worked at Director level in global agencies, led his own business, and headed digital communications at Unilever. It was during his time at Unilever that he developed a deep interest in coaching, setting up an internal coaching programme and training an international group of in-house coaches. He also designed and delivered an award-winning wellbeing and resilience initiative.

Now a highly accredited Executive and Team Coach and a Fellow of the Association for Coaching, Neil supports leaders and teams navigating organisational change, evolving strategy, complex stakeholder relationships and high-pressure environments. He blends advanced coaching skills with consultancy and training to suit each client’s unique context.

Testimonials

Neil brings a wealth of expertise and a deeply human approach to coaching, backed up by evidence and research. He understands the reality of working in a corporate environment and uses his understanding of human psychology and 'the whole self'  to facilitate a deeper level of conversation in a psychologically safe space. He has also helped me grow as a leader and given me the confidence to lead with my 'authentic self'

Neil's ability to read the room is first class and he goes out of his way to make sure everyone's voice is heard. He is great at 'reading between the lines' and surfacing the 'unsaid'. He also gently challenges 'false assumptions' and collective behaviours which may be impacting team effectiveness. He provides open and honest feedback - both in the moment and after workshops to hold the mirror up -  focusing on self-reflection rather than direct feedback.
